Business of Art - Calls, Proposals, & Exhibitions

Project 1612 co-founders, Jessica Bingham and Alexander Martin, will be presenting at ArtsPartners The Business of Art conference on Saturday, February 9th at 10am. Their session, ‘Calls, Proposals, & Exhibitions,’ will cover exhibition applications, proposals, and where to look and apply for calls for artists. They will also discuss install etiquette and how to professionally prepare for group and solo exhibitions.

The Business of Art is a one-day event designed to connect entrepreneurial artists with business professionals who can help them navigate the world of business. Through seminars and networking, The Business of Art will assist artists of all disciplines with establishing or enhancing their businesses.

Mega thank you to Leah Triplett Harrington over at The Rib for including Project 1612 in the recent review on the 3rd Terrain Biennial, founded by artist Sabina Ott and author John Paulett. 

Work by Gina Hunt, one of our participating artists, is featured in the review along with installations from Outpost: Enos Park in Springfield organized by Allison Lacher and Jeff Robinson.

Project 1612 Film Festival

This festival was be held at the Renaissance Park Community Garden and Heuser Art Center at Bradley University. The short film festival was a collaboration with Backspace Collective and Bradley University and featured films from artists around the world including the UK, Canada, Russia, and France.

The Midwest Art History Society Annual Conference will be held in Chicago, April 7-9, 2016 at DePaul University's Loop campus.

Project 1612 co-founders, Jessica Bingham and Alexander Martin, will be presenting on the panel "Alternative Exhibition Space".
